The Nugget...

So, I've hesitated posting this next picture. First, I'm worried that those of you with weak stomachs may barf. Second, I don't want you to think less of me as a mother. And third, I would die if Sam became known as "the kid who ate his poop." But...it's just too good to resist. So here you are...

You may be asking...what is that??? Well, my friends, this is a little poop nugget I found on the carpet in Sam's room...and yes if you look close enough those are his teeth marks on it! YUCK! I nearly died when I saw this. I guess I should be grateful he didn't take an actual bite and swallow it...but then again maybe he ate a whole nugget(s) before I found this one. I'm glad I'll never know.

Storytime!

We went downtown to the main library with our playgroup today. The librarian did a special storytime just for us. We had a great turn out! I would say that we at least 20 kids come! Sam loved it and tried to act like a big kid the whole time. Especially when it came to playing in the CAR (see pictures below!) The libraries here are great... we love them!!!

This calls for celebration!!!

After what has seemed like an eternity, Eric has finally hit the 6 week post-surgery mark! To most of you this may seem like no big deal, but to us Dockters this is HUGE...for several reasons:


1- Eric is no longer confined to crutches!! He is now allowed to walk (very carefully and absolutely no running for 6 more weeks) by himself!

2- He can drive a car!! I am no longer the designated chauffeur!! (I should mention Kent and Andrew here too, who gave my poor crippled husband many, many rides...thank you!)

3- Eric can help carry in groceries, take out the garbage, and shower without sitting on a chair!

4- Sam has his wrestling partner back!

With it being so close to Valentine's Day, I've been thinking a lot about things that I L-O-V-E! And not just obvious things, but the little things that make me genuinely happy. So here's a small start to a list that could go on and on...

I LOVE:

- HOT pink gerber daisies

- American's Funniest Home Videos...I am serious! This show makes me laugh so hard. I also love when channels show those "Top 100 Funniest TV Moments"...HILARIOUS!

- When Sam wakes up happy in the morning. It just starts my day off right

- Watching Sam run to the window to look for Daddy to come home

- Eating out

- Dozing on the couch with the TV on

- Striking up late night conversations with Eric

- Clean sheets

- A random phone call from my mom

- Crossing things off my to-do list! I'll purposely write things on my to-do list that I've already done just so I can cross them off!

- Having Sam in nursery

- A bright, blue sky in St. George

- Mt. Olympus...mountains in general

- A sunny winter day that melts the snow

- Wearing flip-flops

- Watching Eric play with Sam

- Wearing a new outfit

- Wandering through Pottery Barn and dreaming about someday

- Eating churros

- Wandering through Costco...while eating churros

- Opening up my blinds every morning

- The beach, the sand, the waves....ahhhhh...paradise

- Fluffy, thick, slipper-type socks

- Seeing more and more of Sam's personality come out

- Freshly vacuumed carpet

- Going back "home" to SLC

- Finding great deals at Hobby Lobby

-That both my mom and dad get on speaker phone when we call and chat

- Going for long walks

- Warm weather!

Can we say major boogey nose?! Poor guy! It's been a rough day. My little Sam, who is always running around and into everything, has spent this entire day on the couch wrapped in a blanket. After a 104 degree temperature, a trip to the doctor's office, plenty of motrin, sippys full of apple juice, and a few hours of PBS cartoons I think he's on the mend. Let's hope so because I absolutely hate seeing him like this!

Depends on what we're eating...I can definitely snarf down more dessert than him any day!

This question played a big role in us getting together! I was worried about being taller than Eric...but after some careful measurements, I am officially a good 1 1/2 inches shorter than him!

Eric...hands down!

Me...hands down!! :)

Me...Eric put in his time with the BYU baseball team...

Me. Let's just say our financial situation would be a little scary if Eric was running things!!! :)

I don't know. We switch it up

This isn't an issue yet, but in the future he definitely will! He loves working outside in the yard, and for that I am grateful!!

Me...thankfully!

Hmmm...the past few weeks I've been the designated chauffer...but once those crutches are gone Eric will be back in the driver's seat.

He kissed me, but it took him forever

He did, but I said no! It took him nearly a year to try again and I'm glad he did!

He did and I loved it!

Me...maybe a little too sensitive sometimes...ok all of the time!!

We're tied...we both have 3
