Hummin' along...

I've been the worst of bloggers lately. Not much to post about, I guess. No lost children at the grocery store, no David Archuletta sightings, no new military uniforms, no moving adventures, or graduations even. Life has just been kind of ho-hum the past couple of weeks. In any case, here is an update for all you who I'm sure are dying to know what the Dockter family has been up to...

SAM: Trains, train tracks, tunnels, and Thomas. The kid is obsessed! He's been waking up by about 6:15 each morning this week begging to play with his trains. He's in love. It's fun to watch him get so excited about something. (Though I wish he could put off until at least 7 am)

His new thing this week is "YELF" (myself). In other words, he wants to do EVERYTHING by his "YELF!" From undressing, to getting in the car, to opening doors....he doesn't want any help! He's also been getting sick of his high chair. "Big chair" is what he asks for when it's time to eat. I guess independence has to come sometime, right?

ERIC: Studying, studying, studying! He's living life in the library these days as he's preparing to take USMLE Step 1. The big day is June 10th!!! That's less than 3 weeks away! AHHHH! But he'll be able to breathe a little easier after that! He doesn't begin rotations until July, which means we have 3 weeks to just relax! Life beginning on June 11th will be AMAZING!

LINDSAY: Window shopping, dress sewing, book clubbing, and playground hopping! I'm enjoying every chance I can to be outside! The weather's still great right now...not hot and humid, yet. I'm also looking more and more pregnant these days. I went to the doctor yesterday and everything with the baby is great! I'm anxiously awaiting the 20th of June, as that's the day we'll get our ultrasound and find out the gender of our baby! Boy or girl? What's your guess??

Addiction...

Yesterday (thanks to some generous friends!), Sam became the owner of his very own train track! And it's official...he's addicted! He's refusing sleep, food, and even cartoons. This toy has literally provided hours upon hours of entertainment today! My job as a mother just became a piece of cake! Love it!

Happy Mother's Day!

I love you, Mom, and on a day like today I especially miss you! Thank goodness for those webcams! Hope you had a fabulous day! See you in a MONTH!! smooch smooch!

A fabulous day!

Today has been wonderful! First of all, I'm lucky enough to have two sweet boys who made Mother's Day great!! Eric busted out his domestic side by laboring in the kitchen for breakfast
and dinner! (His enchiladas were killer!) And cute Sam gave me the best flowers ever!

Secondly, the JAZZ pulled off a close win over the Lakers today! Gotta love it baby!

And lastly, the rain stopped this afternoon, giving us the chance to enjoy the great outdoors!

(And yes, Sam's head was strategically placed to cover my ever widening and expanding gut!)

Loving Spring in Ohio!

Spring is so amazing here in Toledo! The trees are in full bloom EVERYWHERE you go! It looks just gorgeous. We were able to spend some time outside today admiring all of the blossoms. I just love them! This is by far my favorite time of year!
