Three!

My sweet Sam turned 3 today!

Three?! That's like practically grown up. Where has the time gone?

Even though the past 3 years have flown by, I feel like I have known Sam forever. I really can't imagine my life before he was part of it. He has taught me so much over these short few years and has helped me grow and improve in ways I never thought possible. Oh, I love him!

Here are a few tidbits about Sam on his 3rd birthday:
- He LOVES cars, trucks, trains, tractors, bikes...anything with wheels!
- He still sucks his thumb, but now acknowledges that big boys (which he claims to be) do not do this!
- He loves his baby brother, BUT is still working on the 'be gentle' part

- He is ACTIVE! Sam loves to run, and I have to say he's pretty good at it. He starts soccer in a couple of weeks, so we're making good use of his constant energy!
- He is way into jumping lately. He'll jump off just about anything, and most times it makes me pretty nervous. Heights don't seem to bother him in the least.
- He has a tender heart. Sam worries about others and likes everyone to be happy. He's very sensitive and when ever he goes on time-out he always asks, "Mom, can we be friends again?"
- He still loves to talk and talk and talk and talk...
- He is goofy! Sam is a tease, just like his dad. He likes to joke around and we think he's pretty funny.

Happy Birthday, Sam-O! Here's to many more!

So far...

we've been doing lots of this:

a little of that:

and seeing lots of them:

We're not seeing much of Eric these days. He's all but disappeared. Good thing he LOVES what he's doing. That makes these long hours much more bearable!

This picture cracks me up. I love it! It's me and one of my favorite people, my cousin Karie. After looking at this picture it's so obvious to me where Sam came from. He looks just like me.

But this boy on the other hand....can he really be mine? How did I get a blondie with blue eyes?

I'm tempted to keep having more and more kids just to see what they'll look like! No worries though...I've got my hands full for a while.
