It's finally Eric's spring break...a much needed vacation from class and stress to enjoy nice, sunny, warm weather. The idea of a spring break sounds wonderful; that is until you remember that you're in Toledo, it's only the first part of March, and you read a weather report like this online:
"Winter Storm Warning - Lucas County (Ohio)
TOLEDO...BOWLING GREEN...PORT CLINTON...
FINDLAY
342 AM EST SAT MAR 8 2008
A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS
EVENING.
SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES...WILL CONTINUE UNTIL EARLY THIS EVENING. BY
THE TIME THE SNOW TAPERS OFF...TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 10
INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE.
GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS BETWEEN 20 AND 30 MPH WILL ALSO ACCOMPANY
THIS STORM. THIS WILL LEAD TO NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS AND
SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW.
A WINTER STORM WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS
EXPECTED. HEAVY SNOW ICE WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.
IF YOU WILL BE TRAVELING IN THE WARNING AREA YOU SHOULD CHOOSE AN
ALTERNATE ROUTE IF POSSIBLE... OR YOU SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION
IF TRAVEL IS UNAVOIDABLE."
Sounds lovely doesn't it??
Now, I like the snow (occasionally.) But come March, I am so ready for some sunshine! Is this winter weather ever going to let up?? Let's just say that I'm looking forward to basking in the 40 degree weather in good old SLC...that will feel like HEAVEN!

We still braved the cold and blowing snow this morning to go celebrate Eric's much needed break by getting breakfast at Panera. Yum! Can't let a little snowstorm slow ya down!
