Haircut anyone??

Eric put his barber skills to work here in Toledo tonight.......cutting and teaching!! :) I'm in desperate need of a haircut too, but because Eric can only do one style...I decided to not let him cut mine!

Fancy Feet!!

We saw about 30 seconds of tap dancing on tv tonight and it really caught Sam's attention! He walked right over to the kitchen floor and started tapping away...oh yeah...notice Eric's tap dancing skills in this video too...impressive!

**Sam and Gram**

We got to spend some good quality time with my mom this past weekend!! We got her all to ourselves for 5 entire days and it was wonderful! Eric was super busy studying all weekend for a HUGE test, so it was great to have my mom in town while Eric kept long hours at the library. We kept busy visiting the zoo, making a trip up to Ikea, enjoying Swan Creek park, collecting acorns, cruising the farmers' market, eating out, setting up and cleaning up for enrichment, and of course rearranging almost our entire apartment!! Sam LOVED having Gram here to visit and fell in love with her (AGAIN) right away! I think that the hardest part about living so far away is knowing that Sam is missing out on visits, hugs, and laughs, etc with his grandparents! It's especially hard right now because he seems to be changing and growing so much EVERY day! It was great to have my mom here though! I miss her already!

The Stroller Brigade!

This picture is a couple of weeks old and I stole it from Leisy's blog who stole it from Kenna....but anyway....I was reminded this morning of how much I LOVE walking group!! We try to get to the park each morning with girls from the ward and just WALK and TALK! It is so great! We get some pretty funny looks from other people in park when they see us coming with our 15 strollers! Sam loves to go to the park everyday and play with the other kids.

This morning he was trying so hard to keep up with the older kids at the playground! He'd watch them run to the slide and try to get his little legs to move as fast as theirs, but as soon as he'd get there they were already on to the next thing. He wore himself out being the little tag-a- long today. Anyway, the weather is starting to cool down here in Toledo...which feels great, but makes me sad because I know what is coming....WINTER!!!!!!

airplane...sort of??

I think Sam picks up on more than I realize! On Tuesday I had to drive someone up to the airport in Detroit. During our drive Sam suddenly spoke up from the backseat and said something that sounded like "airplane, airplane, airplane!!" He said it over and over and over!! I caught him saying "airplane" on video today...

Put-In-Bay on Labor Day!

Eric didn't have to study today, so we celebrated Labor Day by riding the ferry to South Bass Island, which is on Lake Erie. Put-In-Bay is the little city on the island. It's a pretty "touristy" place with everyone driving around in golf carts and mopeds. It's full of bed and breakfasts and pubs. It was a beautiful day to be in Put-In-Bay and we did a lot of sightseeing. We went to a Butterfly House...which Sam just loved!!! He even had a huge butterfly land right on his shirt. We visited Crystal Cave and Perry's Peace Memorial, too. It was a fun, busy, memorable day!

Weddings!

Eric and I hit a record last night by attending our FOURTH wedding within one month!!! Can anyone beat that?? EricA, a classmate of Eric's got married last night in Fort Wayne, Indiana and we got to go be part of it! It was a beautiful wedding inside an old, historic theater. We went with Andrew and Brittani...who are newlyweds themselves! It was a fun night. Sam stayed back in Toledo with some friends and helped cheer on BYU. . . go Cougars!
