Mean Mom

After church yesterday, as I was picking Sam up from nursery, I had a moment to chat with one of the nursery leaders. She was giggling and informed me of something that Sam had shared with her. Apparently, Sam told her that he has a mean mom who makes him sit on time-out. Great! I asked Sam about this on the way home and sure enough he repeated exactly that, "My momma is mean. I go on time-out with da timer."

What else is he telling people?!?

The Morg-A-Tours do Toledo

All of the Morg-A-Tours came to Toledo last weekend, and I mean ALL of them!! Gram, Pops, Kels, Trevor, Josh, Kels, and Ally! They managed to plan their Toledo vacation during the coldest week of the year, and experienced "nose-hair freezing" temperatures that were well below zero!! Somehow we survived the cold. Here are some highlights:

1- Kissing on Max...he got to officially meet Josh, Kelsey, Trevor and Kelsey for the first time!

2- Detroit Auto Show...surprisingly fun!

3- Good old-fashioned bowling! (Dad and Eric were surprisingly bad)
4- Detroit Pistons Game...sat right in front of a group of teenage girls, who were unsurprisingly loud.
5- Just being together...Thank you for coming to Toledo, especially in January! We miss you already!

Brrrrrrr...

We had quite the snowstorm hit Toledo this last weekend. Despite the bitter cold, everything looks so beautiful and white! The "little boy" in Eric came out, and he and Sam went early to the store on Saturday morning to buy a sled and enjoy the snow! While hills are definitely a rarity around here, we are lucky enough to have a perfect one for sledding right at our complex. Sam and Eric went sledding twice on Saturday. They were both in heaven!

3 Cheers for Max and "Hey, that's not Sam!"

I'm feeling like a million bucks today because Max slept for 8 hours straight last night! Keep it up Max-o Man!

On another note, Eric and I attempted to catch some action shots of Sam today while he romped, jumped, bounced, and slid at "Monkey Jump", a place full of huge inflatable toys. Here's what we captured:

We about DIED laughing when we saw these pictures! The only action we captured was his little chubby cheeks drooping as he bounced off a slide. We found this picture of "droopy dog" from Yogi Bear which reminds us of Sam's gravity-overwhelmed cheeks.
Upon seeing these pictures of himself, Sam was quick to say, "Hey, that's NOT Sam!" Hilarious!
Here, these are better:
