We are trying to get everything checked off of our "Ohio To Do List" before June sneaks up on us and the Buckeye State may no longer be home. So, last Saturday we crossed off another item by venturing down to Dayton to visit the National Museum of the US Air Force. It was a hit. We visited the Presidential Gallery and walked through the planes of Presidents Roosevelt, Truman and Eisenhower. We saw helicopters, stealth bombers, and amazingly HUGE airplanes. We also thought a lot about Grandpa Leon and wished he could have told us some stories about those B-29's.
The boys loved the museum. They giggled and giggled while we pushed them around in these little "wheelchair" strollers, and they couldn't get enough of running underneath and between the planes.
They had so many hands-on things for the kids...which is great when you have a 3 year-old and a 1 year-old who want to touch EVERYTHING! Eric and I had just as much fun and Sam and Max.
Notice the nose-picker in the background...lovely.

Sam, our little marine biologist, found some airplanes with striking similarities to some of his favorite ocean creatures. Take a look. What do you think?Do you see the killer whale, narwhal, and great white?
We had a great time. It's always a sign of a successful day when you get in the car and the kids immediately look like this...
Still on our to do list...Cedar Point!
Would you add any others?
