Having a six year old around can be mighty helpful.
Sam read this book three times to these two giggly four year olds this afternoon.
It was awesome.

Weather like today makes me so excited for spring!
These guys love to be outside.
And so do I.

Spooky

We were eating dinner tonight when we heard something.
Something musical.
The piano had made noise.
All by itself.
We ignored it and kept eating.
Then it happened again.
The exact same note.
Sam was sure it was a ghost.
Max was positive it was a skeleton.
Jake just giggled.
I thought it must be a mouse!

Thankfully, I am surrounded by so many brave men who were willing to investigate.

Carefully, slowly, the boys lifted up the front our piano to find...

A broken hammer.

Darn.  Not as exciting as we had hoped.
But waaay better than a mouse!

My heart always aches when we have to say good bye to family.  Living so far away can be so hard sometimes.  Somedays I wish we could just pop over to my mom and dad's house for a quick visit.  Just to say hi.  Maybe someday.
But for now we just have to soak up the times we do get together and make them last until our next visit.
Xoxo

After a couple hours of go karts, laser tag, all you can eat pizza and arcade games we were pooped!
Planet Play was a huge hit today.  So was watching my dad and Eric record some extreme videos with their GoPros.

We went up for a good visit with my grandparents this afternoon.  They are so darling.
It's always a favorite of my boys to play pool with Grandpa Ed.  He is so sweet and patient with my kids.  I loved seeing them and catching up.

These two cousins are a lot alike.  They've both got lots of personality.  It's so fun to see them together.

Molly and Laney belong to my sis, Kelsey.  We used to always joke when we were growing up about how I was sure to have a house full of little girls whose hair would always be perfectly braided with coordinating bows.  Then we'd joke that Kelsey would have a house full of little boys who would be running around in super hero costumes and mismatched cowboy boots.

Hmmmm, we were way off!

I loved seeing so much of Kelsey and her cute girls.

We spent the rest of the week in SLC with most of the Morg-A-Tours.
The boys got more cousin time with Molly and Laney today!
Then we cheered on the Utah Jazz.
I love Utah!

It felt so good to retreat to the mountains today and escape all of the fog, smog, and inversion in the valley.  Sundance was absolutely gorgeous.  Blue sky, bright sun, and almost nobody there!
Sam and Max tried skiing for the first time and they were so adorable.  I couldn't stop taking pictures of them.
Both boys caught on to skiing quickly.  After a few hilarious trips up the hill on the tow rope, they were nearly pros.
Sam loved it and did not want to stop!  Max only wanted to go fast and never really mastered the whole stopping concept.  He did great, but tired out after a couple of hours and broke down when he realized there wasn't a Taco Bell on top of the mountain.
We skiied with nearly all of the Dockters and my little sis, Ally.
What a fun, memorable day!

Nai Nai loves horses.  She made sure the boys had a chance to see some while we were visiting.
We spent a couple hours this afternoon riding, brushing, and feeding some beautiful horses.  Sam and Max loved riding on, Rollie, the pony, but Jake wasn't as sure.

Cousins

My boys love their cousins.  They don't see them nearly as much as I wish they did, but they always seem to pick up right where they left off.  They giggle, run, play, and completely wear each other out.  I love that they are friends.
