Max J. is three!

At three years old Max is emotional, loving, energetic, goofy, loud, and tender-hearted.

I love my Max.  He can definitely wear me out these days; as well as test my patience and my sanity, but he is so fun to be around.  Max loves to laugh and loves to make others do the same.  He's the clown in our family.  He pulls the goofiest faces and even tries his hand at telling jokes.  He doesn't take anything too seriously; except his Halloween candy.  He loves his brothers, wrestling with his dad, and thankfully he still loves to snuggle with me.

If you don't know Max, you should.  He makes life fun!

Max's birthday was on Sunday, and contrary to what Sam believed, it was actually a great day for a birthday.  He got to celebrate with all of his church friends in nursery and get all spruced up in his shirt and tie.

Then we celebrated some more with pizza and a Mike Wazowski cake, both of which were his requests.

Sweet cousin Adelle even came up from Bloomington to help with the birthday festivities!

Can I just say that I love these next two pictures?  They crack me up.
Sam was determined to blow out Max's candles, but Eric put a stop to that.

Then Sam cried and wished over and over that it was his birthday.
Hmmmph...what's a birthday party without a few tears?!

Happy 3rd birthday, Sweet Max!
You are definitely one of my favorites!

Halloween 2011

We've been busy 'Halloweening' nearly all month.  I think the boys wore costumes more days than not during the past two or so weeks.  They have been in heaven!

We went to the ZooBoo with friends, hit up a pumpkin patch with the ward, carved pumpkins, got spooked at the Children's Museum...

...and then got the whole fam decked out Star Wars style for our ward Trunk or Treat.

Did I mention that we, the Dockter Crew, won the costume contest at church?  Ha.  We totally did.  I think little Yoda had something to do with it...that or the fact that we had TWO Darth Vaders.  Yes, two.  Because if Sam likes it, then Max likes it.
Sam wants it.  Max wants it.
Sam eats it..well you get it.

Max surprised us last night though when he opted to wear the old Spiderman costume and a mohawk for trick-or-treating.

Eric and I traded off passing out candy and taking the boys around the neighborhood.  It was a great night.

And this little bug stayed inside and helped pass out candy to the nearly 100 trick-or-treaters who came to our door.

Halloween 2011 was a success!
