We've been busy... waaaay busy.  To say we're taking advantage of Eric's time off is an understatement.  We are living it up!  It'll be a rude awakening when real life kicks in and Eric actually has to go to work...but until then, here's a little peak of what we've been doing.

UTAH!
Going back home is always fun, but going back home when no one expects you to be there is even better! We surprised family…mostly my pregnant and emotional little sis…by showing up at a baby shower a couple of weeks ago. Was she shocked? Um…yeah, just a little!

In true Morgan fashion, we all cried…Kelsey bawled. It was wonderful! What made our surprise trip even better was being home for Mother’s Day and celebrating with my own mother and grandmothers. We are lucky ducks.

MICHIGAN!
We made it back to Ohio long enough to upack and repack for our next adventure... The Upper Peninsula!  We met up with the Curtis Family and enjoyed our own little cabin on the lake together.  The little boys were in heaven with the fishing, dirt, water, and worms.

The beauty of Lake Superior was unreal.  I thought water that blue and that clear only existed in warm, tropical destinations, but the U.P. proved me wrong.  Despite the chilly weather, we loved it!

INDIANA!

After dumping the sand out of our shoes and putting Sam's new pet night crawlers out on the balcony...we headed down to our home to be...Indianapolis.

We closed on our house yesterday...which means that we are officially homeowners.  So exciting...but so overwhelming!  I swear I'm not old enough to be buying things like houses.

We got the keys to our place yesterday and the boys were in heaven running around, shutting each other in closets, and playing in the backyard.

Sam was quick to say, "I can jump and run a lot because now we don't have grumpy people who live downstairs!"  (Hooray for that!!) He also wondered why we didn't have a van waiting for us in our garage!

It will take some paint and some time to make our house feel like home, but we can't wait!  We love it.

Phew!

Dear Toledo,

May is your month. The colors around here right now are simply amazing! You definitely know how to do spring. Sometimes people give you a bad rap, but those people don’t really know you. They need to get outside and soak up spring. The smells, the colors, the green….oh, I love it all. I am going to miss you. If you had asked me four years ago about you, Toledo, I don’t think you would have ranked very high my list. But a lot can change in 4 years. You are one of my favorite places, and you always will be.

Much Love,

Lindsay*
