We are trying to get everything checked off of our "Ohio To Do List" before June sneaks up on us and the Buckeye State may no longer be home. So, last Saturday we crossed off another item by venturing down to Dayton to visit the National Museum of the US Air Force. It was a hit. We visited the Presidential Gallery and walked through the planes of Presidents Roosevelt, Truman and Eisenhower. We saw helicopters, stealth bombers, and amazingly HUGE airplanes. We also thought a lot about Grandpa Leon and wished he could have told us some stories about those B-29's.
The boys loved the museum. They giggled and giggled while we pushed them around in these little "wheelchair" strollers, and they couldn't get enough of running underneath and between the planes.
They had so many hands-on things for the kids...which is great when you have a 3 year-old and a 1 year-old who want to touch EVERYTHING! Eric and I had just as much fun and Sam and Max.
Notice the nose-picker in the background...lovely.

Sam, our little marine biologist, found some airplanes with striking similarities to some of his favorite ocean creatures. Take a look. What do you think?Do you see the killer whale, narwhal, and great white?
We had a great time. It's always a sign of a successful day when you get in the car and the kids immediately look like this...
Still on our to do list...Cedar Point!
Would you add any others?

Cute, cute pictures! The brothers are growing! It made my nose hurt when you mentioned the B-29...you knew it would! Is it almost March 18th?...ahhhhh!!!!!!
When you go to Cedar Point, please let me watch your boys, it would only be fair since you watched mine when we went! My brother lived on the Dayton AF base and we went to that museum. It's been so long since I have been there, it looks like a lot of fun, esp for the kids!
Have you been to the Henry Ford Museum? It's pretty cool!
Fun!
We still have to do Cedar Point too. You can't live here and not go to Cedar Point!
cute pictures! sounds like a great outting! the boys are getting so big :)
Are these pictures with your new lens? They are great. Thanks for posting how great the air force museum is we will have to go. Ellie loved Cedar point. They have lots of kid rides, so if you can find another fam to switch off and on with Sam would love it.
Cedar Point for sure!! :) So fun! I would say a good run(or bike ride) down the Olen Tangey (sp?) trail would be a good one to add. Have fun live'n up good ol' OHIO!!
Hi Lindsay, Eric, Sam and Max. I loved your pictures at the museum. Your grandpa would have loved to be with you, as his love was the B-29. He kept them repaired during WW11. I love you all. Grandma Verda
