I've been the worst of bloggers lately. Not much to post about, I guess. No lost children at the grocery store, no David Archuletta sightings, no new military uniforms, no moving adventures, or graduations even. Life has just been kind of ho-hum the past couple of weeks. In any case, here is an update for all you who I'm sure are dying to know what the Dockter family has been up to...
SAM: Trains, train tracks, tunnels, and Thomas. The kid is obsessed! He's been waking up by about 6:15 each morning this week begging to play with his trains. He's in love. It's fun to watch him get so excited about something. (Though I wish he could put off until at least 7 am)
His new thing this week is "YELF" (myself). In other words, he wants to do EVERYTHING by his "YELF!" From undressing, to getting in the car, to opening doors....he doesn't want any help! He's also been getting sick of his high chair. "Big chair" is what he asks for when it's time to eat. I guess independence has to come sometime, right?
ERIC: Studying, studying, studying! He's living life in the library these days as he's preparing to take USMLE Step 1. The big day is June 10th!!! That's less than 3 weeks away! AHHHH! But he'll be able to breathe a little easier after that! He doesn't begin rotations until July, which means we have 3 weeks to just relax! Life beginning on June 11th will be AMAZING!
LINDSAY: Window shopping, dress sewing, book clubbing, and playground hopping! I'm enjoying every chance I can to be outside! The weather's still great right now...not hot and humid, yet. I'm also looking more and more pregnant these days. I went to the doctor yesterday and everything with the baby is great! I'm anxiously awaiting the 20th of June, as that's the day we'll get our ultrasound and find out the gender of our baby! Boy or girl? What's your guess??

thanks for the update. glad you all are doing well! i'm glad sam has a fun obsession. his little train set is so cute. we wish eric good luck with his exam! and we can't wait til the 20th to find out about your baby..my guess is a girl :)
Girl. You'll parallel the Slaters. (cute boy, then a cute girl to follow)
I am guessing another cute little boy!
Hopefully Sam will realize that the trains aren't going anywhere and will let you sleep in a little. Jack did the same thing for a while but isn't quite so obsessed--he at least lets me sleep until 7ish. Good luck these next 3 weeks--life does get better I promise!
Gram guesses a GIRL!!! I think a boy would be groovy too! What is this with "dress sewing"?....hum...you've changed!
Aloha!
I'm guessing another wonderful smart adorable boy... (but if it's a perfect beautiful little girl the 'other Morgans' have it covered either way with Cari's guess above)!! :)
We are excited to hear the news when you get it!
Love you guys. <3
I don't have a clue what you are having, but I am going to guess that are babies are going to be the same gender. We'll both find out soon!
I have no inclinations toward the gender of your baby- I flipped a coin, however, and it came up tails which = boy.
I can't believe that Eric takes step one in THREE weeks! I feel like it's been so far away for so long- and now it's HERE. He'll do fabulously.
Hmmm..hard to say...who knows! I hear it usually goes boy, boy , girl
or girl, girl, boy....
but, my guess would be a girl!(so you can have one of each!) =) Good luck!
I was thinking about you the other day and remembering how hard it was to have your husband gone so much studying for boards. As my dad always says, "This too shall pass". I think that was my mantra the entire four years of med school!
I guess boy...no, I mean girl...no, I mean boy. Either way, the kid is going to be dang cute!
You are so cute! I guess boy.
Oh man, Step 1 is death... we had 2 friends recently take it, and it's like 16-hr. study days. Supposedly step 1 is the worst, and the studying gets less and less as you go. Taylor's studying for the Bar which is in July, so I'll need some suggestions from you on good hobbies!
You're darling!
This is way late, but I want to know what dresses you are sewing.
