Sand, Sun, Six boys

We woke up anxious to play on the beach!
The Christensens and their 3 boys drove from Illinois to spend the week with us.  Cody and Eric were roommates at BYU when Eric and I were dating.  It was so fun to see them.  Our boys were thrilled to have friends to be crazy with.

Our condo is so nice and the view is perfect.
We feel lucky to spend a whole week here!

Favorite scene of the day: six little boys on the top bunk.

We hit the road pretty early this morning, but we had to stop by and say a quick hello to the Watsons while we were in Nashville.  Dusty and Cortnee were our neighbors in Toledo and are now finishing up residency in Tennesee.  It was so fun to catch up.

And yes, Eric and I are wearing the same clothes as yesterday.  Don't tell me you've never done that on vacation.

Awww, a week of vacation starts today!  We are driving to Florida to spend a week at the beach, and we cannot wait.

We hit the road this afternoon and decided to spend the night in Nashville, TN to break up the drive a bit.  We headed to the Grand Ole Opry for a quick visit and wished we had time to see a show.  Next time?

We drove down Broadway Street, which was interesting.  Country music was blaring from every store and restaurant, there were so many cowboy boot stores we lost track, and lots and lots of motorcycles crowded the street.  It's a must see.

This was my first visit to Tennesee.  I liked it.

Next stop...Panama City Beach!

A week of swim classes was on our plan for spring break.  My boys love to swim.  Love it!  They are really good at it, too.  I love that they love it because it has always been one of my favorite things.

It's amazing how much they both improved this week.  Max can float on his back for, well, forever.  He also loved learning elementary backstroke and has been practicing at home.  He constantly had a smile on his face while he was in the water.

Sam learned how to do regular backstroke and was a pro.  He was with the big kids swimming laps in the big pool.  Amazing.  I told him how he could be on a swim team someday and do races and win ribbons.  That's all he wants to do now.  He's so competitive.

Another fun afternoon at the Children's Museum.

It seems like we discover something new to us almost everytime we go.
We went to a play today, The Tortoise and the Hare.  The boys loved it.  They giggled and clapped and cheered.  Jake was terrified of the costumes at first, but warmed up towards the end.

Then we played outside and enjoyed the sunshine at part of the museum we had never played in before.

mustache

Guess who dug through the freezer and ate 2 pounds of frozen berries?  Carefully picking out all the raspberries (which he doesn't like) and laying them on the carpet to get nice and melty?

Good thing he is irresistibly cute.
