Love Long Weekends!

I was shocked and thrilled to find out that Eric had ALL of Labor Day weekend off...no studying, no nothing! Last year, it seemed that every possible hope of a long weekend was demolished by professors scheduling quizzes or tests on the day Eric had to return to class; thus making it nearly impossible to enjoy a completely stress free weekend! So, this last weekend was wonderful! We didn't do anything even super exciting, but it was great to just have an open schedule! Here are some things we enjoyed:

The driving range...complete with an AMAZING sunset!

The Fulton County Fair...this was a REAL fair! Tons of animals, tons of cowboys and farmers! Little kids were dressed in their Sunday best showing off their prized sheep and pigs. It was great! We realized what city slickers we are. And to top it off, the main display this year was all about TRACTORS!! Perfect for Sam!

And last but not least "BIG MOMMA"...this has become a frequent saying of Sam's, and I was reminded of it this last weekend. Let me explain...

There are several BIG BOY restaurants around town here. We've never been to one, they don't look (or sound) all that appealing, but we drive by one nearly everyday. One that is particularly close to home has put this HUGE inflatable BIG (chubby, chunky, fat, pudgy) boy in front of their restaurant for advertising, and I remembered to snap a picture this weekend.
Well, our sweet little Sam has noticed some resemblence that I seem to have to this Big Boy. Whenever we drive by he excitedly yells, "BIG MOMMA!! Look like BIG MOMMA!"
Thanks, Sam, thanks.

I love the Fulton Co. fair, but I haven't been in 5 years, so I'm sure it's still the same.
I really don't agree with Sam about the Big Momma comment...I think you look beautiful!! Before you know it, you'll be back fitting in skinny clothes.

What a fun weekend! I love the picture of the sunset- it is beautiful. And maybe Sam equates you with Big boy for some other reason besides that he is big. Maybe in his mind his outfit reminds him of a shirt you have or he think the Big boy is wearing lipstick and so it must be a girl. You are NOT look chubby, chunky, fat and pudgy, I promise!

I remember when I was pregnant with Ally and a neighbor told me I was "just getting so cute and PUDGY"!!! Ouch!! I feel your pain, but I think you look darling!!! I love the picture of Sam with the red tractor. I bet he was in heaven...scoop the dirt! xo

I think it's the big boy hair- and not the "bigness" that's causing the comparison.

Lindz, you have nothing to worry about...you look so cute pregnant! Seriously. :)

I know how you feel about those long, FREE weekends with your hubby. I just have to keep telling myself "School will be worth it!!!" :) ...over and over. :)

What a cute family! :)

Lindsay,

Thank you for the thank you note you sent. It was so sweet. I wasn't expecting any good mail, so it was nice to get some. And let me just say that that's what friends are for. I hope you let me watch Sam many more times in the future! We love him! We also hope you can come visit sometime too! You are the sweetest person I know!

Love,
Sherri
