Problem solved.

Eric pulled out his inner handyman while we were away in Utah, and concocted these little beauties for Sam:

Their purpose? Leg lengthening. And they seem to do just the trick. Sam can now reach the pedals on his tricycle and has been riding around like crazy. This once repulsive birthday gift, has now become his favorite pastime. Aren't dads the best?

And what bike ride would be complete without getting one of these?
We can't forget Max. He wanted in on the action too.

Nice thinking with the blocks. I just hope that he won't need these for when he is old enough to drive a car. It's good to see that he no longer wants you to take the bike away.

So glad to see Sam riding around on his trike so happy!
And Eric's mad problem solving/ building skils are his inner "ortho" coming out. In a few years he will graduate to "Pumpkin surgery".
