I remember moving to Toledo. It was hard. Sam was barely two weeks old, Eric was adjusting to life as a full-time med student and I was an emotional, post-partum wreck. I didn't believe for a minute that I was going to grow to love life as an Ohioan. Eric promised me that someday when it was our turn to leave Toledo I would cry because I'd be so sad. And guess what...he was right. I cried, hard.
There are so many things I grew to love about Toledo. I love the parks, and the springtime is beyond amazing, but mostly I love the people. We were lucky enough to have a few of our favorite Toledoans visit this week and it was so great. Thanks for coming Ericksens!
It's not always easy to live at least 1,000 miles from family, but I think it's helped me realize that there are good people everywhere and that friends really become family. I'm thankful for that little lesson learned.
Here's to my midwest friends...the old ones and the new.

Thanks for hosting Lindsay!! It was so nice to get to see you and enjoy your new home with you. Toledo is definitely sweeter with great friends!!
looks like you guys had a blast! I can't wait to come and check out indiana!!
I've done my fair share of crying, and because I'm fat and pregnant, I think it's three times as much! Friends are so great...Cyndi, you've got to come back again!
Very cute pictures. I heard in sunbeams the other week they were talking about who they were going to marry and Hailey said she was going to marry Sam.....so cute!! How fun to have some friendly faces come and visit already.
I cried when I left Toledo too....both times!
