I feel like we've experienced nothing but extreme weather since moving to Indiana seven months ago. From the insane and nightly, summer thunder storms to tornado like winds that knocked trees over like they were nothing to the wild ice storms hitting us today! Why do we live here?!?!
We are totally encased in ice out here today, but in an arctic/tundra sort of way, it is kind of beautiful. The sidewalks and roads resemble ice skating rinks, so we took the boys for a sled ride around the neighborhood and along the trail near our house. It was so quiet out. Sam was in heaven. Max refused to keep his gloves on for long, and had tears for most of our walk, but it was fun nonetheless.

Okay, the beauty and awe of the ice has already worn off. I'm ready for spring. Eric and I decided at dinner tonight that we WILL live somewhere warm after all of these midwest winters. They are brutal.

That does look really pretty but I'm not too jealous. How bout a trip to visit us. We will be in the 60's all next week and would love to see you.
Saint George sounds pretty nice!...close to Henderson...and Salt Lake!?! I think Sam and Max are lucky ducks to have their dad pull them on the sled through the neighborhood! Oh....it looks cold! xo
Brrr! Get those buys inside watching movies and drinking hot chocolate! I'm ready for spring too.
Burrrr! I saw Indianapolis' ice storm on the news last night and thought of you guys.
All your weather sounds very similar to the weather we experienced in Kansas. We thoroughly love living in Kansas but I must say, I don't miss the midwest's weather at all! I especially like being able to enjoy a huge rainstorm and not have to worry about whether or not the tornado sirens are going to go off.
Take care and stay warm.
We got the ice, too only I think you got it worse. We have wind now that is blowing all that ice off the trees. Midwest winters..never boring!
You are amazing to brave the cold and go outside. I don't think I'll be going outside until I can do it without putting on ice skates! That trip to Hawaii is sounding better and better!
