Did you hear that Super Bowl XLVI is going to be here, in Indy, like tomorrow?
It seems like we've been hearing countdowns for Indy's big Super Bowl debut since we moved here a year and a half ago. It's kind of a big deal.
A waaaay bigger deal than I ever thought. The entire downtown has been transformed for this event. We have zipliners flying over pedestrians. We have giant stickers and signs of the Lombardi trophy on every building. We have people decked out in every NFL jersey imagineable cramming the streets. We have hotel rooms and parking spots going for thousands of dollars.
It is awesome.
We, of course, had to go downtown and experience the Super Bowl energy ourselves. We bought tickets to the NFL Experience since real Super Bowl tickets were a tad out of our price range...cheapest seats were around $2,100 bucks!!
We met up with friends and got the chance to test out our own football abilities.
Let's just say I'm not exactly an athlete.
But it was SUPER fun.
Sam and Max got some serious face painting done, which I think was their favorite part. I was tempted to get my face done, too, but we ran out of time last minute.
Next time. Next time.
And no, we didn't leave Jake at home...he was there, too!!
I'm officially a Super Bowl fan now.
A big one.

I love these pictures! Look how happy those boys are about getting their faces painted! They are in heaven! And I love how Eric is just as into it, i'm surprised he skipped out on the face paint! Go Giants!
that jake is AODRABLE!! we need to come and see you guys! superbowl sunday today made me homesick for toledo and the great heather hills parties!
I LOVE this pic of Max in the foot ball get up. It made me laugh... out loud. Dallas has been talking all about when they had it here last year, it's like they can't give it up!
I SO wanted to be in Indy this weekend. Your Max is a riot. And those batman masks are stellar. I love seeing your pics of downtown all decked out...how awesome that you got to be amongst all of it! (for the record, the wrong Manning brother won tonight! Go, Colts!)
Wow! It IS a big deal! How fun!
