Roatan 2013

It doesn't even seem real now.  Just over a week ago, Eric and I were soaking up an adults-only vacation, Morg-A-Tours style, in Honduras.  Oh man, it was wonderful!

We got to spend an entire week with my siblings, their spouses and my parents.  I loved it.

It was refreshing to sit at the pool and beach a not have to worry about sunscreening the boys.  We didn't worry about anyone drowning or falling down the stairs.  We were able to sit and talk and listen.  It was perfect.

We stayed in a beautiful house all together.  The ocean was beautiful and warm.  The food was delicious and the company was my favorite.

And because this was an adults-only vacation we only did really mature and grown up things.  You know, like playing on the slide everyday, taking a million pictures of ourselves jumping off the dock, and ziplining.

A strange highlight for all of us was our visit to the Iguana Farm.  I can't even begin to describe what it was like.  Iguanas...everywhere.  Thousands of them.  Big ones.  Like at least 25 pounders.  I was completely creeped out.  These iguanas were just roaming free.  Free to lick your toes, crawl over your feet, and sneak up behind you and totally freak you out.

We were there for feeding time and it was crazy.  The owners brought out bundles of lettuce and leaves and the iguanas came running.  Huge ones began dropping out of trees to get to the food.  I think I screamed and squirmed the whole time we were there.  Yikes.  My sister, Kelsey, totally surprised me.  She was all about picking them up and touching them.  I, on the other hand, was content to take pictures and touch one, just so I could say I did it.

Other favorites: paddle boarding, scuba diving, Nolvia, Andre, lemonade, bioluminescence, GoPro,   and Dad's painted nails.

I have a fun family.  I adore my three siblings.  They are goofy, fun and pretty smart.  It was fun to reminisce and hang out together again.  I'm afraid that I'll forever be the bossy big sister; some things just don't change.

I also love and admire my parents so much.  They are generous, fun and pretty hip for having 7 grandchildren!  I love any chance to spend time with them.

And of course, getting away with Eric and having him mostly to myself was a highlight.  We were in need of a break and this was perfect.

That last picture of you and Eric is so awesome. You have to blow that up and frame it. What a fun trip!!!!! Families are the best. Those iguanas were crazy; I am not sure how I would have handled it.

what a fun vacation! i'm going to have to suggest this idea to my parents. we had iguanas like that everywhere when we stayed in costa rica. you saw them around the street and near the house just like you see cats...except there were more of the iguanas. I agree with you, they are kind of creepy.

Wow! What a fun trip. The iguana farm looked pretty intense. I don't know that I could have made it even in the door.
