Sam and Jack have been pals since we moved to Toledo. They are such cute little friends, and they geniunely love each other! Jack has been Sam's idol...he wants to do everything just like him! They have such a sweet bond with one another.
I couldn't control my tears as Sam stood at our window yesterday and cried while he watched Jack drive away! It broke my heart. I don't know how much Sam really understands about Jack moving, but I think it will all sink in on Sunday when Jack isn't there to tackle Sam with a huge hug after sacrament meeting! 
We lose friends every year here as people move on to bigger and better things...like RESIDENCY! We will miss all those leaving this year! I hate goodbyes!
I can't help but think that we'll be the ones moving on next year...it's exciting and sad at the same time!

That is SO sad! Change is so hard....I thought of all the graduations around the country...as Ally was graduating from high school yesterday...and my heart was so touched. It is an exciting and sad time! I am glad it will be you guys graduating next year though! xo
That last picture really breaks my heart. On your visits to Utah, you'll have to make your way out to Provo for Sam.
Poor thing! My kids feel his pain as they are experiencing the same thing since we left Kansas. Little Hailey is having a very difficult time being away from her best friend Elisa. Sometimes it is tough to be a kid.
Poor Sam!!! But it is nice to know there is life after med school ;)
Dear Sam. You are lucky to have had such a nice friend as Jack. I hope you get to see him again. Growing up is hard, sometimes. I love you, Grandma Verda
