Boston, Mass.

Did you know that I am married to a HUGE sports fan? Okay, he's more of a fanatic really. College football is the sport demanding most of his attention these days, but deep down Eric's first and true love is all-American baseball. In fact, the little game of baseball was even involved in Eric's marriage proposal to me; he's that passionate about it.

So, when we decided to spend a day in Boston, taking a tour of Fenway Park was top on Eric's list. However, we had to cross off a few other 'must-sees' first while in Bean Town.

We spent our morning walking the city while we followed the Freedom Trail. We learned and re-learned many important facts about US History.

While following the red line, we even stumbled upon a crew shooting the latest Ben Affleck film. Apparently it has something to do with white sheets and masked nuns robbing a bank?! Can't say I'm dying to see this one.

We dilly-dallied all day, until Eric suddenly looked at his watch and realized we had 40 minutes to make it to Fenway for the LAST tour of the day. So, we threw the boys in the stroller, skipped out on walking up Bunker Hill, and ran. We looked like maniacs trying to buy tickets for the subway, check our map, carry a stroller, 2 kids, 2 backpacks, and of course a handful of sticks that Sam had collected at the USS Constitution on to the train.

But in the end, we made it.

We sat on top of the Green Monster, and Eric vowed that one day we'll sit in those same seats
during a real game. I told him to start saving his pennies.

We loved Fenway. We also loved the cobble-stone streets and history of this city. Actually, we loved everything about Boston. I told Eric that I want to go back, sans kids, and spend a few days seeing the sights and doing some serious shopping. He told me to start saving my pennies.
So, I am.

That's an awful lot of pennies for the next oh, say 5 1/2 years. When we have saved our pennies for shopping, take me with you! :)

Love the pictures!!
That is crazy you were there when a Ben Afleck movie was being filmed. I must say the nuns look quite scary!!
You guys will definitely make it back to Boston someday!! (but you need to save your dollars, not your pennies, and you will get there faster!)
