But real life is back.
Eric began all things work related today. This week brings lots of orientation and training meetings, and then his first real day on the job is the 4th of July. Hooray.
This means that I'm now officially on my own here. I did the church thing by myself today and I'm afraid that is going to become the norm. I'm nervous about Eric's schedule during this next year (okay really the next five years) but this is exactly where we wanted to be. We're doing exactly what we hoped we would be doing...so no complaining from me. I'm going to be brave. I can do this.
Residency, shmesidency. You don't scare me.
This past week has been wonderful and we've enjoyed all of our time together as a family! Here are a few highlights...
-Mastering the back float and swimming, swimming, swimming!
-Surviving some crazy thunderstorms. We only had one fatality...
-Running at the zoo's splash park...along with petting sharks and elephants!
-Cheering on our favorite Toledo Mudhens at the Indianapolis Indians game! Oh, and having your dad catch you a baseball from a Mudhens player is pretty great, too.
-Digging for dinosaur bones at the children's museum
-Pigging out at the local Rib Fest
Life is good and we're ready for something new. Let's do this residency thing.

You're the cutest writer, Linds. And the cutest mom. Good luck with residency. I love your "enjoy the ride" attitude. You've got this! Love ya!
I KNOW you can do this!...YOU can do hard things! ...especially with your great attitude! Looks like you had a perfect week...except for the tree...dang! Sam's baseball picture is adorable! Hang on! xoxo
It looks like you have been having so much fun! we can't wait to go to the zoo when we come visit!
good luck :)
your zoo has a splash zone, too?!? That is so cool. Can't wait to check it out and see you guys!
And congrats on starting day 2 of this residency thing. It will go by faster than you think;)
I've been repeating the same sort of mantras. I have decided I need to be better at change.
It looks like you guys are acclimating well to Indy. I'm so glad you're representing at the Mudhens game.
all of you will do great! when we were in toledo you always amazed me at how great all of you were at juggling the tough schedules and making time for family stuff. you guys are our inspiration:)
You guys have really played it hard the last couple of months, but I really don't envy a surgery residency! We'll have to scout out some 4th of July festivities without Eric or Andrew.
Don't worry, time will fly. It's not bad at all! You and the boys can come over any time especially on those lonely call nights.
Good luck with Residency! I am glad that you got some time together as a family to build memories. Indy looks like such a fun place.
such cute pictures! love the one of sam holding his baseball!
