Our stomachs were in knots as we walked into the Match Day celebrations today. There on the huge table of envelopes we saw this one...
the one that would hold our fate for the next 5 years! We resisted the temptation to tear it from the table and run; and instead sat with friends and impatiently waited until the magic hour of 12 o'clock!
My hands were so shaky, my eyes were full of tears, and my heart was racing...finally, noon came and everyone was told to pick up their envelopes and find out where they'd be headed...
And we're headed to...
Indianapolis!!
We are thrilled, shocked, and excited for this new adventure!!
Indy...here we come!!!

And to think that they teased all of us with the idea to come get our envelopes one at a time! Imagine how that would be. What a relief that this day is finally over with. I'm excited for next year!
p.s. I'm going to have to copy your pictures because they turned out so much better than mine.
Congratulations!! We are bummed you won't be here but it sounds like you already have a great support system in Indianapolis. It is a great city with a very affordable cost of living. When we were trying to decide where to live in the midwest it was one of our finalist. The only reason why we didn't choose it was because Kansas City was closer to Utah.

I am soooo excited for you guys!! can you believe it's over now? all that suspense and terror? I hope you can really enjoy the next few months and live semi stress free :) we'll definitely head over to Indianapolis and visit! zeb would love to check out the racetrack with zeb! isn't that where the piston cup is held? :)

Thanks for sharing a picture of "the map." It is almost the "pre-envelope" because of some of the clues it gives.
And that is really amazing how many ortho people matched from your school. I know the ortho residency department was really impressed with how many great candidates they offered this year (your hubby being one of them;)
