Sam and Max have loved t-ball this year. Last night was the final game of the year and as usual Max sat in the dugout with the Purple Pirates and acted just like he was part of the team.

They made the last game sort of a big deal by announcing all of the kids names and numbers over the speakers and having the national anthem played. Max was disappointed to realize that he didn't have a number on the back of his shirt. The kids on Sam's team were quick to designate Max as number zero and let him stand out on the field by them during the anthem.
I don't think they knew just how cool this made Max feel. He was thrilled.
Max was beyond devastated when medals were distributed after the game and there wasn't one for him. He'll be old enough to play next summer and I'm pretty certain he's going to want in on that.
Sam and some of his buddies.
Brandon.
Tommy.
Sammy.
Sam has hardly taken his medal off; except of course to let his little brother have a turn wearing it around his neck.

Go Purple Pirates!

What darling boys! That looks like it was tons of fun. That was sweet of Sam's team to let Max in on the glory.
aren't kid's sports adorable. Max will so be ready next year to play and maybe even have a zero jersey.
Aren't little kids just the best! It warms my heart thinking about how nice they were to MAX!! And...SAM even let him have a turn wearing the medal....ahhh....the little lessons we learn from kids! I am a big fan of the Purple Pirates for sure!! xo
