Really, can you think of anything more important in life than family?
I most definitely cannot. Family is what makes life fun, happy, exciting, and humorous. Family is everything.
Sam, Max, and I headed to Utah last week to help celebrate my Grandma Verda's 85th birthday. She has always, always made family her priority. She is probably the best family party thrower and planner out there. She can think of any excuse to have a get together...birthdays, showers, holidays, or just because we haven't seen each other since last week.
So, it was fitting that 80 family members showed up to celebrate 85 wonderful years with her last week. It was the perfect party for the most perfect woman I know.
I was so happy to be part of it all.

We also made time for some other Salt Lake fun.
We hit up the Farmers' Market.
A definite must when in SLC on a Saturday morning.
We swam and swam and swam all while enjoying the gorgeous, green mountains in the background.
Max was a dare devil and made the diving board his new best friend.

We reconnected with some old friends.
Kelsey and Kelsey got to work helping me make a quilt for baby Jimmer.
Okay, so I mostly just watched them and took mental notes. Have I mentioned before how craft-impaired I am?
We just enjoyed a few days to hang out with people we love most.
(Oh...can your mom still do headstands? Because mine totally can!)

Happy birthday, Grandma Verda! Thanks for giving us another reason to get together!
