Family Time!

We got to meet the newest Dockter cousin last week.  Check out this cute, chubby girl..

And what's even better than her adorable face is the fact that she is going to become a Hoosier in just a few weeks!  Eric's brother and his family are moving to Indiana.  We are hardly going to know what to do with family in the same state!  Sure they'll be an hour away, but that's 23 hours closer than anyone else!  Hip, hip, hooray!

Eric's mom and dad came along last week, too.  We loved having them here and showing them our home and some of our Indianapolis favorites.  Time with grandparents is always a favorite for Sam and Max.

We love walking the Monon Trail and topping it off with Brics ice cream.  It's even better when grandparents and cousins can come along.  I think it tasted better than ever...something to do with the humidity and being 8 months pregnant makes ice cream taste heavenly.

We also became NASCAR fans while the Dockters were in town.  Okay, maybe not full blown fans but we did go to practice day for the Brickyard 400.  You just have to do something racing related when in Indy, right?  It only seems natural.

The real live race cars were a huge hit for Sam and Max.

It's unbelievable to see just how big the speedway actually is...it can hold over 250,000 racing fans at a time.  Unreal.  I didn't know there were over 250,000 people who really enjoyed this car racing thing!!  It is so loud.  Louder than you could ever imagine.  Our little ear plugs helped...barely.  After about an hour of blaring engines and suffocating exhaust we were done.

Definitely worth seeing, but I don't know that I'll ever fully appreciate the car racing thing.

We loved having family time with some of the Dockters!  Please come again!!
Sooner than later!
