I remember my mom going to her book club every month while I was growing up. I knew it was a night she looked forward to and a night where she would get home long after I was in bed.
But what I didn't understand was how going to a place just to talk about a book could be considered fun.
But oh how I understand that now.
Book club was a highlight for me in Toledo. I loved going and still miss the fun girls and nights we had together talking (or not!!) about the book.
And I love book club here. I love the excuse to spend an evening with friends and always come away refreshed.
Yes, book club is a must; especially when you're a mom.
Tonight we met at my house and discussed Killing Lincoln.
Have you read it?
Any book club suggestions for me?

oh, I miss book club in Toledo. Our book club stinks here. It is only every other month and only a few show up. I would love to get into a good book club again.
Hummm....so know you know that Book Club isn't really about just the book! I used to get grounded for getting home so late from Book Club....even when I was in my 40's....actually still today, too! xo
I totally agree! We read Walk Two Moons a couple months ago and it was a fun and fast read. It is YA but still has great characters and a good storyline. Killing Licoln sounds a little heavy so I'm not sure it would be for your book club...every book club is different ya know?
Your blog posting habits are inspiring me to blog more even if it's just something quick! thanks :)
That book is literally next on my list! It's sitting on my side table just waiting for me to finish Unbroken. I'm about 80 pages from the end and I HIGHLY recommend it. Amazing.
just read 'wonder' and I LOVED it :) and we just had book club last night- we read "The Year of Living Biblically"- super great for discussion and entertaining to read!!
