Easter 2011: the traditional and the not so

Easter Egg Dying: Traditional

We quickly moved outdoors after Max dumped orange dye all over the kitchen counter and floor.

A visit from the Easter Bunny: Traditional
Lucky for us, the Easter Bunny brought umbrellas this year. They came in quite handy on our rainy Easter morning.  The boys were thrilled and have hardly put their umbrellas down.  Sam has been sleeping with his.

Jimmer Fredette: Not so
Yes, these guys hunted for eggs in their matching "Teach Me How to Jimmer" t-shirts.  I guess it's no surprise that Sam thinks Jimmer is the perfect name for baby boy # 3.

 Ward Easter Egg Hunt: Traditional

Sam and Max were in pure heaven hunting for eggs with about 30 other kids.  Max was satisfied with 3 or 4 eggs in his basket and ate his candy without hesitation.  Sam on the other hand, galloped and flew around the field collecting as many eggs as he could. It was a huge success!

Easter Lunch at the hospital: Not So

We were so sad when we realized that Eric would be working on Easter.  Lucky for us, his day wasn't too busy and allowed us time for a visit and tasty (okay, it wasn't really tasty) lunch after church.

Easter Dinner in Indiana: Not So

We've never had an Easter feast in Indiana before, but this will most definitely fall into the traditional category for the next few years.  We felt blessed to spend our night with fun friends.  We just missed Eric.

Wedding Anniversary on Easter Day: Not So

Really, can you think of anything more romantic than spending your 7 year wedding anniversary in the hospital cafeteria?  At least it will be memorable.

Despite Eric not being around, we did have a good Easter.  I find that teaching my boys about our Savior is so beneficial for me.  I learn so much through teaching them.  I love Easter and the chance to reflect on our Savior and His resurrection.
Happy Easter!

All my questions about your weekend have been answered! Never mind that e-mail.

Jimmer Dockter has a good ring to it.

It looks like you had a wonderful Easter. I love your forts by the way. I struggle in that department myself.
